Jetts UK are delighted to announce that Jen and James Watson, previously members from Jetts Skipton, have taken their passion for the brand to the next level and joined our growing network of Jetts business owners, opening Jetts Leeds Colton early next year.
Located at Colton Retail Park in the east of the city, a popular shopping and leisure park with excellent footfall and visibility, the club will be #19 for Jetts UK, bringing affordable boutique fitness to a local community with demand for what Jetts has to offer.
Big fans of all things sports and fitness, Jen and James joined Jetts Skipton with the aim of finding a gym where they felt they really belonged: “As busy working parents, it was really difficult to find the time for the gym, but we instantly felt welcome at Jetts, and our love for the brand and what it has to offer grew from there,” said Jen, who is also a Great British international basketball player.
Having taken a step back from their award-winning tourism business, it was time for Jen and James to look at what was next. Being able to combine their work with their passion for fitness and wellbeing is the dream scenario for them both: “It’s so important to find something that you’re passionate about, and our own experience of Jetts is something we’re excited to share with our members.
“It was a big decision, but we’ve been so well-supported by the Jetts UK team – their experience, knowledge and understanding of getting into business, and working closely with us to find a site that we all really believe in, which has been backed up by the interest we’re already getting!”
As a basketball player for Great Britain, Jen is used to being part of a supportive team – and that’s what she wants to build at Jetts Leeds Colton:
“Jetts is a brand that is true to its word – we want to create a club that encourages its members to take time for themselves – whatever our members’ goals are, we’re all about investing in their future selves and giving our members somewhere that they feel valued – if we can do that, then what a great reason to come to work every day.”
After confirming the new site, James Garner, Jetts UK Managing Director commented, “I think it’s such a great story that both James and Jen have gone from being members of Jetts Skipton to owners of Jetts Leeds Colton!
