In response to growing demand following a record-breaking pre-sale and hugely successful launch last summer, Jetts Newquay has confirmed it is extended its floorspace by nearly 50% just 9 months after opening!
The new extension will add +4,000 square feet of space, taking the total size of the gym to just under 14,000 square feet and making Newquay the largest Jetts gym in the UK and Europe!
The new plans will also expand the hugely popular outdoor training area, giving members more space and more options for their training.
Opening in May 2023 to record numbers (at the time) for a Jetts gym and with the continued, month-on-month growth of the membership, the owners began the process of designing the extension and seeking planning just a few months after opening!
The current gym, which is nearly 10,000 sqft over two floors, and includes a large outdoor training area has become a real fitness ‘hub’ for the local population of Newquay and the surrounding towns in North Cornwall and the new extension will ensure the gym can keep up with its ever growing membership.
“The membership numbers have surpassed all our expectations,” said Tony, one of our business owners at Jetts Newquay. “So we quickly decided we wanted to extend the gym, improving the experience for existing members and enabling us to keep growing as more and more new members sign up every month.
“James and the rest of the Jetts Support Team have been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. Together, we’ve created a hugely successful business and a stunning space for our members to train in, but we want to keep pushing, and making sure we can meet the local demand and provide the best facilities possible for our growing membership.”
