‘Australia’s Most Loved Gym’ announces its 10th UK club will open in Brixton, London
On its’ third anniversary of operations in the UK,global health and fitness brand, Jetts 247 Fitness, announces Jetts Brixton will open in December 2020, taking the UK network to 10 gyms.
Franchisees, David and Kevin Barry, are the UK’s first multi-site operators following the opening of Jetts Colliers Wood in late 2018 and their recent acquisition of Jetts Portsmouth. Securing Jetts Brixton will see the fitness entrepreneurs’ partner with the Jetts UK team to open the third site in their gym portfolio.
The 5,200sq ft gym is situated in an outstanding location on Brixton Hill, just a short walk from Brixton Underground Station, with high visibility frontage on the A23 and brings Jetts’ 24-hour, affordable boutique fitness offering to the fifth most densely populated borough in the country.
In what is viewed as a significant moment in the brand’s evolution, the site will be home to Jetts’ first outdoor functional fitness area and pioneers designated workspaces for members who want to log in before or after their workout. Members will also have access to Jetts’ J Series fitness class, a 30-minute small-group HIIT training session that provides the ultimate full-body workout for members of every fitness level.
Founded in 2007 on Australia’s Gold Coast by husband and wife team Brendon and Cristy Levenson, Jetts 247 Fitness quickly established itself in the Australian market. They expanded rapidly through a successful franchise model and now operate more than 300 gyms globally with sites in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and the Netherlands, as well as its fast-growing presence in the UK.
Since launching in the UK in 2017, the business has established a differentiated position with its push towards affordable, boutique gyms. The opening of the Brixton site follows a record-breaking opening in Farnborough in early 2020, which proceeded the successful opening of Jetts Clapham. With the easing of lockdown and the gyms now all open the expectations are that 2021 will see a major growth in new UK openings.
